About KEF Media

For a quarter century, we've been all about solutions to help you communicate and spread your message. Whether it's a new product or campaign you're introducing to the world, a corporate announcement to employees worldwide, or a public service announcement to targeted demographics, we've got the ideas to make it great and the means to make it a success.

We're a hand-picked bunch of TV and radio news professionals, PR practitioners, and digital folks who understand your business and work together to get you maximum broadcast and digital exposure across the board. The media landscape is constantly changing and therefore, so are we.

We love having longlasting, ongoing relationships with our clients. We love helping our clients have better relationships with their customers.

We've heard it said that technology is a substitute these days but we beg to differ... and so do our clients. We're dedicated to success and personal relationships are key.

Kevin Foley FOUNDER

Kevin started it. In 1984, while managing consumer PR accounts, he couldn't find a vendor for video news releases. So he went out on his own, found a freelance tv news producer and started producing and distributing video news releases for his clients. They were successful. So two years later, Kevin launched his own company, specializing in VNRs. KEF Media was born.

Prior to entering the world of public relations, Kevin was a city hall and police reporter for the Manchester Evening Herald in Connecticut where he learned the print side of reporting. From there, he worked at two leading PR agencies, Ketchum in Chicago and Burson-Marsteller, in both New York and Los Angeles.

From the start of KEF, Kevin's mission was to create a company that approached the business of video public relations from the client's perspective -- in short: unless you get meaningful, measurable results, don't do it.

Kevin lives outside Atlanta with his wife Susan. They have two grown children, Patrick and Katie.

Yvonne Goforth-Hanak GENERAL MANAGER

Yvonne leads fearlessly. As Co-President, she's our General Manager responsible for the day-to-day operations of, well, everything.

After starting as a part-timer handling daily media relations for the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Torch Relay, Yvonne has worked in virtually every aspect of the company since then. She's seen and done it all on her way to the top, so it's a natural fit for her to oversee our daily operations.

Prior to KEF, Yvonne spent seven years at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL as company spokesperson and developing celebrity publicity campaigns. She's also worked in both the news and production departments at WDEF-TV, the CBS affiliate in Chattanooga, and freelanced for a variety of print publications.

Yvonne graduated from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. She and her family live in Atlanta where she engages in daily battles with the planter next to her driveway and endures traffic on I-75.

Linda knows everybody. As Co-President responsible for Sales and Marketing, Linda has an unwavering focus on client service and satisfaction. She's also our company road warrior; whether meeting with clients, attending satellite media tours, or generating new business, she's always on the go. In fact, her address is Delta, Seat 2B (28C if they were out of free upgrades).

Before KEF, Linda was Director of PR at Universal Orlando for 11 years. While there, she oversaw the resort's expansion from a single park to an entertainment bonanza with two theme parks, three hotels, and a nighttime entertainment complex. Linda started her career in Los Angeles as a reporter and photo editor for Newsweek Magazine. She also founded Buckley Communications which provided a wide range of PR and editorial services for diverse clientele including KEF, Mobil Travel Guides, Newsweek Magazine, and Barbecue America.

When not traveling for us, Linda lives in Orlando with her photographer extraordinaire husband of over 25 years, Bob. They have two sons, Brendan and Robbie.

James is our go-to guy for just about everything. Most of the time, he's already got what you need - from a replacement monitor to an answer about insurance, James is the guy. He's worked in production, reporting, and accounting on his way to becoming our business manager so he definitely knows how things work around here.

A native of Raleigh, NC, James proudly served in the U.S. Air Force before taking a job as a project manager. We couldn't be prouder for him!

In his spare time, James enjoys producing music and loves his new GSX1300R (that's a motorcycle for us not in the know), billed as "the fastest production bike on the planet." Hope he slows down long enough to remember to come to work...

Kewana Benniman AVP, FINANCE

Kewana has a way with numbers and that's what counts in her job. She makes sure our clients are billed and if someone doesn't pay us on time, they hear from her... nicely, of course. Well, at least at first!

Kewana's been an accounting manager for years, coming to KEF from A-National Limousine. She's studied accounting at both Atlanta Metropolitan College and Atlanta Area Technical College and we're the beneficiaries of her education and experience.

When not crunching our numbers, Kewana volunteers as a tutor, works with the Women Employment Opportunity Project, and loves spending time with her family.

Venia always knows what's going on. Working in the Accounting Department, she keeps both accounts payable and accounts receivable flowing smoothly.

Venia attended Clark Atlanta University and is currently enrolled at Spelman College working towards a degree in sociology. Prior to KEF, she worked at Parking Company of America and the EPA.

When not at the office or studying, Venia spends time with her son and enjoys shopping and creative writing.

Amy knows lifestyle public relations. Over the last 16 years, she's done it all - consumer, corporate, entertainment, youth, publishing, you name it. And with experience working with companies such as Renaissance Aruba, Rooms to Go, Porsche Cars North America, and Philips, she's a huge asset to our group. And that's before we even mention her publishing clients - Jeff Foxworthy, Buzz Aldrin, Billy Crystal, Jamie Lee Curtis, Emeril Lagasse, Maurice Sendak, and Lemony Snicket, to name a few!

Before KEF, Amy worked at Weber Shandwick, MS&L, and HarperCollins in New York. She joined us in 2009 thinking she’d be around for a year, and we’ve sucked her in for more than three.

A native Louisianan and LSU grad, Amy is a loyal Tigers fan, a true pop culture aficionado, and loves entertaining friends. She is also in the process of founding our Diet Coke support program for employees.

With 15 years of web expertise under his belt, Farhan knows the web inside out. He's done it all, from the designing the look and feel of website to developing custom back end marketing solution for fortune 500 companies.

When not at KEF, Farhan helps organize the South East's premier professional web design/development organazation, the AWDG. Aside from computers, you can find him enjoying the live music Atlanta has to offer.

Jim knows who's who online. As the Director of Digital Services focused on – you guessed it – online initiatives, he works with the KEF digital team to see what's next with PR. Taking clients through the digital process whether it's shooting a flash mob on Bourbon Street or conducting an internet media tour from a famous, iconic kitchen, Jim truly loves the web…booking and producing IMTs, maintaining ongoing relationships with key online players, and tweeting and posting to our Facebook (along with Farhan and Amani).

Before KEF, Jim was with Vanguard Records in Los Angeles developing campaigns to boost album sales and artist awareness. He created and co-hosted a former radio show and organized numerous concerts benefiting both musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina and music education in local schools. Jim has also done freelance consulting for clients in the music industry and worked for Michelle Roche Media Relations.

A native of Memphis, TN, Jim has a Master's degree in Communications from the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia. In his free time, he strums a Taylor acoustic guitar, plays first baseman on a kickball team, and enjoys live music around town.

Tyler keeps us on target. He manages the media booking lists, creates event grids, and helps the media team stay organized and running like a well-oiled machine.

Tyler started here as a Production Specialist assisting the producers and learning the in's and out's of public relations and the business overall. Before joining KEF, he was a real estate investor and is still the proud landlord of several rental properties.

Tyler's been a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan for as long as he can remember and is emotionally attached to their performance. He enjoys fitness in any way, shape, or form and is an avid CrossFitter.

Meredith is the newest addition to the KEF Media Team, joining us from Knoxville, Tennessee.  She spent the last three years in Rocky Top as a producer for WVLT-TV where she developed a love of the beautiful Smoky mountains, Volunteer football and of course the color orange!

Before traveling south of the Mason-Dixon line, Meredith earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ohio University.  At OU, Meredith split her time between classes, working at WOUB Radio and TV, and her sorority, Sigma Kappa.  Raised in Cleveland and a Midwest girl at heart, she's come to call the south her home.  The oldest of five, which includes triplet brothers, Meredith learned at an early age to stay calm and roll with anything that came her way.

In her free time, Meredith loves to cook, travel, read anything she can get her hands on, and is shamelessly addicted to all things "Glee."

Dwight gets you on the air. As part of our Media Relations team, he spends his days booking interviews and strengthening relationships. No matter what the topic, Dwight identifies the target markets, hones the pitch, and gets producers interested. Over the years, he's enjoyed working with Holly Robinson Peete, Rocky Bleier of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Chilli from TLC.

From his start as a part-time reporter on a country radio station to his days as Producer and Anchor in Michigan right on through working at WAGA-TV in Atlanta and then producing and writing for The Weather Channel, Dwight has vast knowledge of newsrooms and what works... and he puts it all to use here.

Dwight is also our resident punster. In fact, he never told a pun he didn't like. A native Ohioan, Dwight loves the Cleveland Browns, is the proud owner of both a pomeranian and a poodle -- while out walking them one day, he was stopped by a cop who just needed a good laugh -- and will do pretty much anything you want if you tell him he looks like Denzel Washington!

Audrey can produce any and everything. A 27-year veteran of TV news and production, she's our Executive Producer and oversees all our broadcast and radio productions. Her years of experience are called into play every day as she keeps projects moving ahead.

Audrey began her career as a production/news assistant in Charlotte, NC and soon advanced through a variety of positions including news producer, promotions producer and freelance writer across three states - North Carolina, California, and ultimately, Georgia. Once in Atlanta, she was a senior producer for WXIA-TV's Peachtree Morning, a live morning news magazine, and then a senior producer at The Weather Channel overseeing live primetime broadcasting five days a week.

Audrey is a true Tarheel, a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. True to her broadcast background, she loves watching classic old movies in her spare time.

Tony does some pretty cool stuff. As our resident expert sports producer, he's shot hoops with the Globetrotters, mushed with real huskies, played football with college legends and the troops in Iraq, volleyed with some tennis greats... and that's just in the last few months.

Before KEF, Tony was with CNN for 18 years as a sports producer where he won a Cable Ace Sports Award for his work. He also worked at Fox Sports Net working on, you guessed it, sports! And he won an EMMY for his great work.

Outside the office, Tony has a passion for poker and continues his love of sports as a football official for high school games.

Sonia Ri'chard PRODUCER

Sonia brings it all together. Her drive and personality make her a great producer and our clients love working with her.

From nuts to bolts, locations to camera angles, talent to catering, she's got it covered including heading up our Co-op SMT program.

Evony has worked in numerous news departments - WSVN, WINK, WAFF - and worked her way from Huntsville, AL to Ft. Myers, FL to Miami and on up to Atlanta. Her most recent role before joining KEF was as a noon news producer for WSB-TV here in Atlanta.

Evony is from greater Chicago and made her way down South for college, graduating from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University with a major in communications. When not producing, Evony loves movies and spending time with family and friends. And shoes. Evony really loves shoes!

Satellite trucks, studios, catering, make-up artists, videographers, audio techs, uplinks, downlinks, sideways links….if it needs to be sourced, vetted or booked anywhere in the world, Debbie is your gal. As Production Manager, she is the goddess of crewing and technical logistics - successfully juggling the technical details of every single project that KEF Media produces. And she keeps everyone at KEF Media on track with her infamous detailed ‘logistic sheets.’ If it isn’t on the logistics sheet, you simply don’t need to know it!

A Native Floridian, Debbie worked at all the major theme parks – Sea World, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios – before moving to Atlanta to work at KEF Media in 2002. A few years ago she moved back to the Sunshine State to be closer to family, but has no trouble directing company traffic remotely.

When she’s not keeping everyone else organized, she enjoys her down time by traveling and shopping. Not only does she play a mean game of craps but she can pick her way through a Macy’s sale like none other.

Jon is a man of many talents. In addition to overseeing our reports department, he provides support for computers, phones, and, most importantly, our blackberries. He researches vendors and negotiates contracts; he's the back-up guy for shoot logistics; and he's a phone coordinator for SMTs.

Jon attended Kennesaw State University and lives north of Atlanta with his wife and son... and the very newly arrived son #2!

Brendan handles all things digital. From shooting and editing video to creating graphics, web content and more... he wears many hats. He's a native Floridan and graduate of the University of South Florida. When not at work, he's usually busy enjoying the outdoors and eating his way through the city of Atlanta one plate of hot wings at a time.

Patrick Foley VIDEO EDITOR

Patrick knows his way around here. He grew up with the company and started working here as a teenager. He's a natural with video and it shows... whether shooting or editing, Patrick's got an eye for what works and the technical skills to make it happen.

And we're lucky to have him back. He spent the last few years in Montana doing everything from video freelancing to felling trees.

Patrick is a native Atlantan and enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and traveling. He also enjoys music and most importantly, spending time with his dog Rambo.

Bill edits it down. Every day, he inputs raw video and graphics and outputs beautiful b-roll, roll-in, VNRs, online videos, whatever you need to impress the media and reach the public.

A native Atlantan, Bill is a mass communications graduate of the University of West Georgia. He relaxes by playing the guitar and drums and by coaching a recreational softball team.

BJ is one of the newest, and youngest, members of the KEF team. He began with an internship and worked his way into the company through hard work and determination. He helps with SMT’s, media pitching, and has starred in multiple B-rolls…although most of his time is spent maintaining the office and assisting anyone who needs his help. He graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2011 with a degree in Public Relations and strives to retire by the age of 40.

Polly is a native of Atlanta and has been a media specialist at KEF for a little over a year. Polly loves the airwaves, having fostered great relationships with radio producers from national shows to targeted markets. Name a station, and odds are she knows the producer. She graduated from the University of Montevallo in Alabama (ROLL TIDE!). As a thespian, Polly had the privilege of performing around the world seeing new places and experiencing different cultures. Polly still loves singing, traveling - and thoroughly enjoys cooking. Mmmm.
